Earlier this week marked my first foray into producing my own resin figures. The vinyl figures I enjoyed working with (mainly cause they were super cheap and perfect for my wire work mix) are no longer sold at the place I use to buy them from and I can’t find them anywhere online. So I designed a simple figure with clay and made a few resin figures. I only made three with this batch. I plan on tweaking the head. It is way too eggy and I’m not digging how the character sits overall. But overall I am excited to finally be making almost everything in my pieces from scratch. It is a great feeling as an artist.
So here is the first figure so far, going through the initial phases of creation. I still have some painting of the head to do and some surprises after that.
