

Finished up this 10×10 canvas. If you read my previous post, this is the canvas I used to fling paint at “Dripping Jacks”. I used some vitrail for the black looping. Dry brush for added color and then scraped with a palette knife to give it a weathered/beaten look. The final touch was some gold flaking and a high gloss varnish.
It felt like one of those good memories that over time reminds you of a mistake. Something that starts off pleasant but you look back later and wonder what was I thinking? Kinda nice but a darkness lurking. Maybe the end of the year has me being more reflective on my life. Having a child has definitely made me more present in my painting. More so out of necessity than desire.
